Experience

Silbert is a former writer for Lifewire, where she wrote about smart wearables and other tech topics. Silbert has covered consumer technology for the majority of her professional career, first as a staff writer at Laptop Magazine and later as a senior editor at Engadget, where she reported on consumer tech and covered trade shows such as CES, Computex, and IFA. 

She also co-hosted the show "Tech News Today," discussing the latest consumer technology news with a variety of industry guests. While Silbert has reviewed everything from ultrabooks to spy pens, she's especially obsessed with smartphones and smartwatches. Silbert freelances for several publications including Fortune and The MIT Technology Review.

Education

Silbert earned her B.A. in Writing from Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied nonfiction writing and served as a news editor for the campus newspaper. Before that, she attended Bard College at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
